Teachers are happy that the authorities are withdrawing the 'biometric' attendance registration devices provided to government schools.

To prevent irregularities in the attendance registration of government school teachers and staff, biometric attendance registration system was implemented. But, due to Corona, after March 2020, the biometric system was abandoned.

Thereafter, the Headmasters of the respective schools or their authorized school officers register the daily attendance through the mobile phone application. In this, even though many teachers go out without coming to work, the attendance is recorded in the app.

To curb this mess, the school education department plans to re-implement biometric attendance registration. In this case, government schools have been ordered to withdraw biometric devices for jobs that offer Rs 1,000 to girls.
